Labor laws and rights protection for

  • Family and medical leave act
  • Minimum wage
  • Over time compensation
  • Unsafe workplace conditions
  • Worker’s safety rights

Nurses and nursing staff have the right to work in a facility that allows them

  1. Act in accordance with professional standards
  2. Are to be free from a hostile abusive environment
  3. Free of retribution when advocating for residents or themselves
  4. Join groups and associations
  5. Preform their agreed job description and responsibilities
  6. Work in an environment that is safe for themselves and their residents
  7. Facilities must provide all needed equipment so care duties can be performed safely
  8. Facilities shall provide all supplies for job tasks to be performed
  9. Facilities must have enough staff so care to residents can be performed in a timely manner
  10. Facilities must have enough staff to perform their jobs without the fear of incidents or injuries occurring to their residents of themselves
  11. Facilities must provide an environment that supports facilities ethical policies
